세윤이는 매일 학교에 자전거를 타고 간다

Seyun rides his bike to school everyday. 

그는 그의 자전거를 좋아하지만 그는 올해 키도 더 크고 힘도 세졌다

He likes his bike, but he is taller and stronger this year.

그의 자전거는 그에게 너무 작아져서 그는 더 크고 빠른 자전거를 원한다.

His bike has become too small for him, so he wants to buy a bigger, faster one.

그러나 그는 그의 예금계좌에 충분한 돈을 가지고 있지 않다. 그는 무엇을 할 수 있을까?

However, he does not enough money in his savings account. What can de do?

Every few minutes he checked the number of hits.

As the number of hits went up, his expectations went up too.

One hour passed, then two, and finally a whole day, but he received no texts.

아무도 그의 자전거를 원하는 것 같지 않았다.

Nobody seemed to want his bike. 

 

다른 사람들에 의한 새로운 게시물들이 그의 게시물을 목록 아래로 밀어냈다. 그의 마음은 가라앉기 시작했다.

New postings by other people pushed his post down the list. His heart began to sink.

“내 게시물에 뭐가 잘못된 거지? 내 자전거의 충분히 매력적이지 않은건가?”

“What’s wrong with my posting? Is my bike not attractive enough?”

그는 온라인으로 판매방법에 대한 조언을 인터넷으로 검색했다.

He searched on the Internet for tips on how to sell online.

그리고나서 그는 그가 무엇을 잘못했는지 깨달았다. 그는 너무 서두르고 욕심을 내었다.

Then he realized what he had done wrong. He had been too hasty and too greedy. 

그는 가능성있는 구매자들에게 충분한 정보를 주지 않았다.

He had not given enough information to the possible buyers.

또한 다른 자전거들과 비교할 때 그의 가격은 너무 높았다.

Also, when compared to other bicycles, his price was too high.

그는 자전거에 대한 더 긴 설명과 함께 새로운 게시물을 썼다.

He wrote a new posting with a longer description of the bike.

그는 다른 각도에서 그의 자전거를 보여주는 더 많은 사진을 추가했다.

He added more photos to show his bike from different angles.

“24인치 자전거. 상태최상. 항상 실내 보관. 새것처럼 탐. 긁힌 자국 거의 없음. 12~14세에게 좋음. 8만원”

이번에 그는 몇 개의 문자를 받았다. 슬프게도 그들은 모두 낮은 가격을 요구했다

This time he got several texts. Sadly, they all asked for a lower price.

처음에는 받아들이기 힘들었지만 마침내 그는 그의 자전거를 7만원에 팔았다.

It was hard to accept at first, but finally he sold his bike for 70,000 won

그는 구매자를 만나서 그의 자전거를 건네 주었고 그가 필요한 돈을 받았다.

He met the buyer, handed over his bike, and got the money he needed.

이제 그는 새 자전거를 살수 있었다. 그는 기쁘기도 하고 슬프기도 했다.

Now he could get a new bike. He felt both happy and sad.

그는 그의 자전거가 떠나는 것을 보기 슬펐지만 그는 그자신에 대해 기뻤다. 왜냐하면 그는 그 경험을 통해서 많이 배웠고 조금 더 성장했기 때문이다.

He was sad to see his old bike go, but he was happy with himself because he had learned a lot and grown up a bit through the experience.
