There is a hotel on Broadway that has escaped being discovered by summer resort promoters.

It is wide and cool.

Its rooms are finished in dark oak of a low temperature.

You can enjoy all the pleasures of mountain living here.

Only a few guests have found this oasis in the July desert of Manhattan.

Madame is used when you are speaking to a woman who has a high rank or position.

On the third day of Madame Beaumont's stay at the hotel, a young man, dressed in fine clothes, entered and registered himself as a guest.

Beaumont 부인이 호텔에 묵은 지 사흘째 되던 날, 좋은 옷을 차려입은 젊은 남자가 들어와서 자신을 투숙객으로 등록했다.

 

His face was pleasant, and his expression was that of a cultured man.

The young man was Harold Farrington.

He told the clerk that he would remain three or four days.
